Abstract
Purpose : It was intended to find out the effectiveness after vision training based on the assessment of binocular visual function.

Methods : An assessment of binocular visual function was made before and after vision training for 360 minutes(60minutes / 6 times) with 57 adults who did not have anisocoria and experience of undergoing vision training. The assessment of binocular visual function including visual acuity test, NPC, phoria, vergence, Gradient AC/A ratio, vergence facility, NRA, PRA, accommodative lag, NPA and accommodation facility was performed.

Results : After vision training, the inverse proportional relationship was also shown in the three results : between NFV(Negative Fusional Vergence(distance)) before the training and changes of NFV(distance) after the training(p<0.05), and between PFV(Positive Fusional Vergence(distance)) before the training and changes of PFV(distance) after the training(p<0.05). The inverse proportional relationship was also shown : between NFV(near) before vision training and changes of NFV(near) after the training(p<0.05), between PFV(near) before the training and changes of PFV(near) after the training(p<0.05), and between NFV+PFV(near) before the training and changes of NFV+PFV(near) after the training(p<0.05).

Conclusions : This study makes it possible to identify the changes of binocular visual function after vision training. Furthermore, it was verified that the higher exophoria before vision training, the more the effectiveness of the training increased, and the lower fusional vergence before the training, the more the effectiveness of the training increased. Therefore, this study is considered to be baseline data on the changes of effectiveness after vision training based on the assessment of binocular visual function.
